Included will be:

A buffet dinner and buffet breakfast.

A tour of the "Fantasy In Lights" on Friday evening.

On Saturday we will tour the gardens with a step on tour guide.  We plan to have a brief worship time in the beautiful chapel in the gardens.

A tour of the butterfly house will be on Saturday.

After we leave the Gardens on Saturday we will go up to the Callaway Gardens Country Store at the top of the mountain to shop a little.

If time permits we may go by "The Little White House" which was President Roosevelt's office away from Washington D.C.

Mountain Creek Inn (Our Hotel)

The charming Mountain Creek Inn (formerly the Callaway Gardens Inn) features 349 comfortable guest rooms and suites, all tastefully appointed. Some rooms feature king-sized beds. The Gardens View rooms overlook the pool or the wide, velvet-green Great Lawn. Also available are large Roof Garden suites with one or two bedrooms, a parlor and other amenities.

Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel

Its beauty is in its simplicity . . .

. . . and in its setting that entreats you to spend a few moments in quiet reflection. Set amid the tranquil woodlands around Falls Creek Lake, the Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel remains an inspiring tribute to co-founder Cason Callaway's mother. This chapel, reminiscent of 16th-century Gothic chapels, has a design that includes fieldstone quartz and other natural materials, plus six stained glass windows depicting the Southern forest in a progression of seasons. A custom-built Möller pipe organ sits in the front corner and its music can be enjoyed inside and outside the chapel. Regularly scheduled organ concerts are a favorite event for many of our guests.

Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center

Flights of fancy . . .

. . . await you in the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center where 1,000 tropical butterflies, representing more than 50 different species, flutter freely through the air. Tropical plants and birds, including enchanting hummingbirds, reside peacefully with the colorful winged jewels in North America's largest, glass-enclosed tropical conservatory. The award-winning film, On Wings of Wonder, plays continuously in the Center's orientation theater, explaining the life cycle of butterflies.

The Day Butterfly Center's lobby includes a variety of artwork, much of which was generously donated by Deen Day Smith, who also gave the lead gift used to build the Center, in honor of her late husband and founder of Days Inn of America, Inc., Cecil B. Day.

A gift shop in the lobby is a necessary stop for a souvenir of your visit. You'll find everything from toys to charming home decor items --- and it's all related to butterflies, hummingbirds and insects!

Birds of Prey

Feathered ambassadors with a story to tell . . .

. . . about man's influence on the survival of wildlife make the Callaway's Birds of Prey show much more than just entertainment. The magnificent birds of prey featured in these outdoor, free-flighted shows, demonstrate their strength, speed and natural instincts at a lakeside amphitheater that allows the creatures to swoop directly over spectators' heads. This is a rare opportunity to see these birds up-close and to learn how our actions can endanger the survival of these innocent, yet mighty, birds.

The shows are presented by EarthQuest Environmental Foundation and the Ida Cason Callaway Foundation.

Callaway Gardens Country Store®

A little history with a touch of charm . . .

. . . and you've got the Callaway Gardens Country Store®. This old-fashioned store, atop Pine Mountain, is probably Callaway's most popular retail shop. Its "general store" charm coupled with unique food products and home décor items make it a hit with everyone.

The store was one of the original buildings at Callaway Gardens. It was an outlet for the products from Cason Callaway's farms and from fine foods he acquired from his trips to New York. Its location on U. S. Highway 27 assured success in its early years because this was

the main route to Florida. Although today most travelers take interstates, the Callaway Gardens Country Store is still as popular as ever. Among the items most sought after are the truly Southern items: Speckled Heart grits and muscadine jams, jellies, preserves, syrups and sauces.
